Our youth group, led by the club's Youth Coordinator Maria Garay, is currently participating in The Mental Fitness Program, a program designed for high-school aged children by the Black Dog Institute in collaboration with the Australian Institute of Sports. The Program includes two x face to face presentations, and kicked off on Monday 26 October 2020. We had over 30 cadet members from our club attending the first presentation. The team has been given the six week challenge to be completed and then come back in early December to our club for the second face to face presentation. This time, the AIS will have a well known athlete that will deliver the last part of the program. At the end of this session, the team will enjoy a social get together with pizzas provided by Dominos Matraville. This part of the season, we have moved from Oz-Tag to Mixed Netball, our team, 'The Baywatch' is participating and representing our club at the Mixed Netball Competition run at Heffron Park, the team has had so much fun, great social evening, building team work, friendships and camaraderie. The competition section has also invited our youth members that are interested in competing and representing our club to meet them at our club this Sunday at 9:30AM. Our youth boaties are hard at training with Captain Phil, keep an eye out for their development.
