Special General Meeting - New Constitution & Regulations have been adopted

As per notification to members, a special general meeting was held on Sunday 26 July prior to the AGM. We are pleased to advise the memebrship that the new documents were endorsed and adopted at the Special General Meeting.

South Maroubra SLSC now operates under the July 2020 Constitution South Maroubra SLSC Inc and July 2020 Regulations South Maroubra SLSC Inc. These documents have been uploaded to the Clubs website at the following links for your information and reference:

The Board of Management thanks the Constitution sub Committees who worked on this task over the past 2 years - namely, (18/19) Damien Woods, Ken Arthur, Paul Duffy, Linda Perrin and (19/20) Phil Vanny, Nicole Cooney, Andrew Wem, Linda Perrin.

We urge all Office Bearers for season 20/21 to please make yourself familiar with these documents to understand your role and the role of the committee you are a member of.

Where more than one nomination has been received for an specific role, a voting will take place at our AGM.

Please refer to the below extract from our Constitution (Section 12) that  explains our voting rules.

12. Officers of the Club – Eligible to Stand/Vote for Office
The Officers of the Club shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting from Active (18 years and over), Reserve Active, Long Service, Active (15-18 years), Life Members, Award Members and Associate members who conform to Rule 11.7. All voting members must be financial for both the current and previous season.

Notice is hereby given of a Special General Meeting of South Maroubra SLSC to be held on Sunday 26 July 2020 12.30 pm in the Horizons room for the consideration of the recommendation from the Board of Management that a new Constitution and Regulations documents of South Maroubra SLSC Inc 2020 be accepted and endorsed in its entirety and replace the Constitution adopted in July 2011.
