BECOME A COMPETITORThere's no better way to maintain great fitness and surf awareness than becoming a surf sports competitor.
South Maroubra Surf Club has a proud history in competition from Surf Boats to IRB Racing. We compete at all State and National competition, and are happy to take on beginners and experienced competitors. Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) competition is for registered, qualified and proficient members of surf lifesaving clubs who have fulfilled their Club, patrol, financial and other membership obligations. If you'd like to compete at any SLSA competition you need to make sure you are registered, proficient and fulfil your patrol duties. You'll need to complete a minimum amount of patrol hours in order to compete. A comprehensive (free for members) training calendar has been established for the 23/24 season including: Training days set for water section: - Tue 4.30pm (Board) - Yarra Bay - Wed 4.30pm (Ski) - Thu 6am (Swim) - Fri 4.30pm (Board skills) - Sun 7am (Ski/Iron) - Ski also most mornings at 6am with Masters depending on conditions. - Boats and sand sections TBA For more information contact our Director of Competition, Shane White on [email protected] |
