PATROLLING AT MAROUBRA BEACH
Our lifesavers patrol Maroubra Beach from September through to April on every weekend and public holidays.
Each team will do about 9 patrols each season. Each team has a designated Patrol Captain and Vice Captain who are responsible for the management of the team while on duty.
You'll recognise our patrol team members by the iconic DHL sponsored uniform of red/yellow quartered cap, yellow long sleeve t-shirt and red shorts.
Our primary role is to protect the public visiting our beach, and making rescues where needed. In order to do this we need to ensure our lifesavers have maintained all the skills covered to keep the beach safe.
2021/22 Season Skills Maintenance dates:
Bronze Medallion and SRC Skills Maintenance will contain both online and practical requirements this season. The online portion can be accessed through your Members Area account, in the eLearning section. The practical portions will be covered on your patrol for all patrolling members.
