So let's get back to business and its exciting to see the red and yellow of our lifesavers back on the beach with our great patrol members and sponsored equipment. With the NRL Grand Final Long weekend just finished at the time of writing, school holidays underway and high temperatures over the weekend we’re expecting things to be full on, off and on the beach. Our local community has really embraced the club with many young families taking advantage of our open door policy at our wonderful beachside bar so we’re expecting plenty of guests and friends. Be sure to join us each Sunday at our Social Sundays! Major events for your diary!
Looking forward to seeing all of our members so pop on down any Sunday for a chat or recommendations in relationship to club sponsorship. Paul ‘Stretch’ Fownes APM OAM President We need to ensure our lifesavers have maintained all the skills covered in their awards to keep the beach safe. 2023/24 Season Skills Maintenance dates have been set for the season.

It is great to be able to support other clubs in needs. Having recently completed an audit of our equipment in the lead up to Gear Inspection for the 2023/24 season, it was identified that we had a few surplus boards. This arose primarily through the generous donations of our local clubs via the ClubGrants which provides funds for Lifesaving equipment.
Unfortunately not all Surf Clubs are as lucky as us. After a call out to the community, it was identified that Blackhead SLSC near Foster (Mid North Coast) was in desperate need of some new boards to replace the 4 old boards they had. Tony Axford from Soldiers Beach SLSC (Central Cost) facilitated the transportation. Date/Time: TBC (subject to weather conditions)We are looking forward to providing all Active Club Members an opportunity to try all the different craft that are used in competitions. We will be making Surf Boats, IRBs and Skis available for you to come and 'Have a Go' under the supervision of our qualified coaches.
Due to the nature of the day, we need to ensure that conditions are suitable, therefore will advise via Facebook page when the date and time in the coming weeks. |
