The South Maroubra IRB section recently sent 22 competitors to State Championship at South West Rocks and after the 2 days with perfect conditions we ended up with hauling in the bling with ..
After a 2 weeks break they then head down the coast to Mollymook for the Australian Championship for a 4 days carnival. The first two days saw some challenging conditions with a strong eastly swell of up to 5-6ft then the last 2 days improved to some beautiful conditions with a slight westly wind helping with a strong current along the shore line. After the team being batted and bruised they ended up with an Australian Silver medal in the Open male teams and a 3rd place for NSW in the inter-state, where our very own Tara, Kai and Will came first in the male mass and first in the open teams.
