CLUB FACTS
The South Maroubra Surf Club started when a group of men from Malabar saw the need for lifesaving services at the South end of Maroubra Beach. Since then we've grown to a club with over 1000 members from all walks of life dedicated to keeping our beach safe. Our patrolled beach has never lost a life, between the red and yellow flags, while a patrol has been on duty.
We're a progressive club that enjoys a great connection with our local community, councils, registered clubs, local pubs and other significant corporations in the area. We are most fortunate to have the former premier of NSW, Mr Bob Carr as our club Life Patron. Michael Daley the current State Member for Maroubra is our Club Patron, and a frequent visitor to our club.
South Maroubra has been widely acknowledged throughout its history as a provider of 'Outstanding Community Service', this title extends to Lifesaving Services provided and a general commitment to a better all-round community.
